Ben on Fatherhood

Cory, whom Ben adores, works at his house. Cory is going to become a father in a few months. While explaining the ultrasound pictures of their in utero baby to him, Cory said, “Ben, I’m going to be a Dad!”

To which Ben gently put his hands on Cory’s shoulders and, very atypically for him, looked Cory directly in his eyes, and said with sincerity:

“I’m sorry.”
